Resident Evil 7 is such a great game. Taking the formula of the classic game and putting multiple new twists. Also the save room theme is top tier.

I'm burnt out on speedrunning my normal games. I'm going to play some God of War in preparation for a marathon I'm doing, but after that I'm wiping the slate clean. I'm going to start speedrunning Resident Evil (2002) and Ridge Racer 4 within the next 2 weeks. Need something fresh.

The thing about constantly pursuing realistic and "better" graphics is that in 2002 there was this little GameCube game called "Resident Evil" a remake of a tragically unknown PS1 game you see... And... That's still the most gorgeous looking game even today. We peeked 25 years ago!

A thread I saw just now reminded me that soon, we will have people who's childhoods consist of PS4 games and Fortnite and that makes me very sad. I've always questioned if future generations will have any good entertainment or media and it feels less likely every day.

The way I know Silent Hill 2 is a great game is because even though I wasn't vibing with a lot of the game, by the end I still grew a huge respect for it and reflect positively on it

I cannot fucking believe capcom got their heads out of their asses and preserved the PS1 resident evil games. Surely other devs follow suit and we get to see other games preserved...

The PS4 was by far Sony's best console. Not saying the previous generations were bad but the games were generic and lacked any soul or meaningful gameplay. With games like TLOU and GoW, Sony really proved how artistic games can be. Also hoping some of those old PS2 games get remade and improved.

My birthday is in 3 days so I'm gonna do a big old speedrun marathon/subathon thing. Games I'll be running include: Ratchet & Clank 2 Ratchet UYA Ratchet DL Crash 2 Crash 3 God of War 1 and 2 LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Indiana Jones Stop by so that I don't feel bored

Insanely hot take: Super Mario 3D All Stars is a golden example of how old games should be redone. Its 3 worst crimes are not including Galaxy 2, being a limited time release, and that you can't lower the resolutions or change aspect ratios to remain more faithful to the OG release.

For god's sake, so many older games will never see an official re-release because the remakes replace them in the eyes of both consumers and developers alike. I don't want to play a game like RE3 remake which cuts half the material out, I want the real deal.
