I see centrists on SM every day with some version of "Dems need to tack to the center-right to win." This is given as axiomatic. It's assumption that the median voter is directly between DNC positions and the far right. From this axiom, they attack the left as unwilling... 1/

I don't know how the general public can see anti-trans positions and trans rights positions as equivalent. I know the former has flooded the zone with shit about sports and kids that confuse things, but in the real world, they are trying to eliminate our rights - the same ones cis people enjoy. 1/2

I truly don't understand how, in a country run by the far right, centrists believe that middle-of-the-road stances are winning positions. Centrism only works as a compromise position between two poles. Centrists will fail without the left—they should be bolstering the left, not scapegoating it.

I don't think anyone wants the rapture to happen more than agnostics. Either good people end up in heaven, leaving most of the christians on earth, or the christians ascend, leaving us here in peace. It's a win-win.

I've never been shy about voicing my opinions publicly, but as things descend further into trans=terrorist territory with this administration, I wonder if I should delete this account and others, if only to be able to better my chances of staying alive for my kid.

I believe that if Dems can't pull us out of this in 26 and 28 and continue to blame the left for their electoral failures, we will see a legitimate, contending third party arise. I do not want Repubs to win, but failing to object to a national holiday for an awful bigot is gobsmacking.
