Out of curiosity, I tried using my old Quest 1 again. It surprised me just how much I could not read with my Quest 1 due to the SDE and how low res it was. The weight also put a lot of pressure on my face and spine. It's crazy how much better the Quest 3 is in terms of everything except blacks.

Did a test of Virtual Desktop's new Vive tracker emulation that's in beta right now. It uses the Quest 3's camera to track your upper body and uses estimation for your lower body. It's going to be great for when I don't want to put on all my trackers and it's better than the default VRChat IK!

Five Nights in Hyrule

I tried RE4 on my Quest 3 today and the sharpness surprised me. I was expecting a lower resolution but it was extremely sharp and clear which is something I usually expect from PCVR games.

Finally set everything up with my Quest 3 and gave it a quick test drive. It is WAY sharper than my old Quest 1 though I do miss the true blacks of OLED.

I just got an update, looks like the Quest 3 is coming tomorrow (hopefully), which would be great timing since I have Friday off!

Well, it's almost 8 PM and my Quest 3 still hasn't arrived. I have learned that Ontrac (which is delivering it) has an absolutely horrid reputation for delayed and even stolen packages. I assumed Best Buy would use a reputable delivery service but I guess that's too optimistic these days.

I ordered my Quest 3 from Best Buy today and it'll arrive tomorrow! I've been slowly getting all the accessories and mods I want so that I can transition seamlessly from my Quest 1 to the Quest 3 and I got the last thing I need today so I'm finally ready to upgrade!
