Yesterday, I found that hex colors can have opacities by adding a 2-character alpha value to the end (for 8 chars total). Its called an RGBA hex. So black (#000000) can be 50% opaque as #00000080 or 10% opaque as #0000001A. Its been a thing since 2018! #100Devs #webdev #css

Trying something different with the Nav. It starts as a little button in the top-center of the screen. Clicking it drops it down, carrying the menu with it. Absolute positioning & translate-y based on state did all the work here. The colors are just for testing so I can see. #100Devs #webdev

In the previous iteration of the agency website, I used a Header component to render the hero section for each page. It was called from each page, so they passed props with h1 text. Watched The Dark Crystal with the kiddos. Haven't seen it in decades. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Kiddo #1 liked it. #2 got scared a few times. They've never seen puppetry like this before.

Met up with the friend kiddo #1 made on 4th of July at the 80s concert & her family. Explored the Redwood Grove at Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Yorba Linda. They dug up owl pellets & found animal skulls & other bones.

Took the kiddos to Michael's for arts & crafts. They made autumn wreaths. The kid who runs it is friends with them & my sister from past events. We talked about all kinds of stuff from D&D to comics to anime & movies & video games. It's fun seeing how this generation has carried stuff on.

Kiddos had me watch Kpop Demon Hunters with them after they had burgers with me. It was fun. They played tracks from it on the ride back from the meetup on Thursday & were singing songs from it with @sirashtondev.bsky.social.
