Tried out this free trial of Copresence avatar creator. Exports a .blend file and is excellent quality. Not rigged, but still very nice.

Cilium Cipher test. I couldn't find a good way to get random alternate characters for different orientations using normal font settings. Used Blender Geometry Nodes to flip every other 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 7th characters.

Like if you know anything about Blender Geometry nodes, one look at this setup will tell you it makes no sense and basically everything is incorrect. Its text instructions weren’t any better. And this is free open source software with a very active support community!!!

I was curious what the latest ChatGPT would give as a solution to a relatively simple Blender challenge and it disappointed me more than I expected. Why do people use this garbage? I don’t get it.

Reminder: if you are worried about AI replacing you as an artist: don’t use AI voices, If you don’t want composing to be handed over to AI: don’t use it to write text. You get the idea. If you value your job: protect others jobs too.

What annoys me most about AI enthusiasts is not the enthusiasm. It’s their lack of nuance and critical thinking. None of them play the tape out. They’re thinking selfishly, short-term gains. AI *could* be an amazing tool, with the right approach. But most seem all wrong, move-fast-and-break-things
