Got quite a few good responses from Egyptian Friends/Mutuals on Insta!! They told me that Mummy movies are fine, many of them really enjoy them actually! The thing that bugs them is when people assume that's still a part of their culture, cuz yeah it's an ancient outdated practice.

Real Question, how do Egyptians feel about Mummy movies? I've been looking into it myself but I'm having trouble figuring out if the very principle of depicting a Mummy in film is disrespectful, or if it's more so frustration over inaccurate representation.
