It will be critical in the coming months and years to support junior scholars impacted by politically-motivated cuts to science funding. One potential pathway for philanthropic funders (after the lawsuits are resolved) is to prioritize funding cancelled NSF postdoctoral fellowships & CAREER grants.

Made it to the #psynom24 affiliates meeting. Bouncing between OPAM for deep dives into method and theory in visual cognition and Culture and Cognition for pushing thinking about culture as a systematic source of variation in cognition. Both are great! And #NSF funded through the PAC program.

Rant coming! As a reading scientist, I think cognitive scientists have done a lot to contribute to evidenced-based education in how we teach kids to read and write. But I am disappointed to see this body of literature misused (in my opinion) to perpetuate inequality.
