The dismantling of the admin state isn't abt eliminating govt waste. It's abt taking away economic opportunities from as many working class ppl as possible, and hoarding resources, access & opportunities. Credit: the brilliant minds generously sharing insights on the nightmare we're all living in

There are a few things abt my job that I hate. One of those things is being involved in debates/discussions between business clients. I'm camera-on for meetings all the time (#representation) but I'm camera-off when I know there's abt to be some bickering. IDGAF. Y'all figure it out.

I think I'm on year 4 of election protection volunteering. I used to say, "Some of these states don't want y'all to vote" but that is very well-documented at this point. So, instead, I'll just remind those of you in AL, AR, GA, ID, KY, OR and PA that today is an election day.

Passed a car that had damage on the back right side and front left side. The damage looked like it was caused from the same thing/accident. Would genuinely love to know what happened lol.

Every time I get a meeting invite, I say out loud, "These ppl hate me." And you honestly can't convince me otherwise. Sending a meeting invite is an act of overt aggression.

The Pitt is a very, very intense and graphic show. I am someone that loves a good medical anything (and I think the show is great) but this might be my limit for intensity. The mass shooting episode is a lot.

Justice for Democracy using imagery from the civil rights movement in the ads opposing the Virginia redistricting referendum is infuriating. It's a blatant attempt to mislead Black voters.

I wasted today's ration of audacity on thinking I would be able to land, deplane, get my rental car, and be on my merry way 50 min after scheduled landing time (i.e., be in position to take a call). Audacity didn't work out for me today but l will use tomorrow's ration more wisely.

I tried this task management approach where I don't make lists--I just go off vibes. The theory was that I'd remember to do a thing if it was important enough to remember. Well, after 90+ days, I can tell you this approach doesn't work lol. Don't recommend. Make the list.

I'm sure ppl I work with are wondering what my system is for replying to emails. I will be completely unresponsive on one thread and responsive on another similar thread. The explanation is simple: I work on vibes and vibes alone. I don't reply until the vibes tell me to. Sorry🤷🏾♀️

I'm not original/alone in thinking that social media has completely warped our POV of what is/isn't appropriate to ask/assume abt ppl. I feel the need to call it out anyway. At best, this warping is weird af. At worst, it's dangerous. I fear GenZ+ might be lost but millennials+ should know better.

Half of Americans do not have passports; getting one costs at least $165, plus photos, and requires … a birth certificate or certificate of naturalization.

Jim Crow Redux: The “SAVE America” Act Is a Poll Tax, Plain and Simple
Requiring people to shell out for passports and birth certificates to “solve” a problem that doesn’t exist is a modern-day version of what they used to do down South. It must be stopped.

The SAVE Act is voter suppression—not security. It would purge millions, especially married women with name changes, low-income voters without passports, and more. Tell Your Senators: Vote NO to protect our democracy!

If Joe Biden's son-in-law was flying around the Middle East as an unofficial Secretary of State while also working on business deals for his company with the same people he was meeting with on behalf of the US government, I'm pretty sure it would be a bigger story 🤔

I dreamt of working at the FTC in the early days of my career. My career path took me elsewhere and the current commission is on some b.s., but I feel like I'll end up there one day. I think my life's calling is to do my part to stop corporate wrongdoing against consumers.
