Even though the water is shallow, there is fish in there. The Black Stork probes with an open beak and when a fish gets between the beak, it snaps shut.

I was looking at fungi (in Port Coquitlam, BC Canada) on this dead tree then little birds (Blackcap Chickadees?) started darting in and out of the holes! What fun! No. 3

Comparison photos of adult and young cottontail rabbits. Even tho the baby bun is zoomed in (compare the black tubing), young bun is still smaller. And baby ears are more rounded.

Found these 3 frogs in Como Lake Park, Coquitlam, BC Canada a couple of days ago. I did an online search and they could be invasive American Bullfrogs. They didn't move or make any sound. Can anyone confirm?

Wasn't quick enough on the shutter button to capture the whole Greenshank in flight but got most of it. π One of the largest of the Tringa genus, it's closely related to NA's Greater Yellowlegs. To me, the two species sound exactly the same.

pair at Rock Point Park, Port Moody, BC Canada. Turn on the sound for the squawk!! A very low tide brought them to hunt for food. Lucky the gull got out of their way.

Cuteness Alert: Since Bluesky was wonky yesterday we went to the beach and watched these Canada Geese lead their little ones down to the water. We made sure they all made it. Too cute! Also saw lots of pelicans! Iβll save the pics for later.
