People really need to understand the 'paradox of tolerance' better. I'm seeing far too many forums and spaces being criticized for being anti-free speech because they block hate speech. Giving hate the same agency as love is not the way to maintain a safe space, HOW is this hard to understand.

If anyone knows of a lawyer in Scotland that would consider a disability discrimation case, that would be incredibly helpful right about now. Every damn one I've called either doesn't take such a case on, or is too busy.

Well, my own property survived the storm relatively unscathed, except for some waterproofing on the shed roof, but there's a tree partially blocking the entrance to my street, and a few of the footpaths around have destroyed fences blocking them. I can see a few broken windows around as well. Ouch.

Permanently deactivated my Twitter account. In a way I'm a little sad because Twitter introduced me to people that had a huge impact on my life for the better, but that Twitter died 2 years ago.
