one thing i completed today was a No Light Beam run in Metroid Prime 2. i had completed this challenge in the past but this time i did it in Hard mode, didn't use ILS because i needed one item since i also went for every item and also went for all scans. i did fail the scans since i missed one.

doing a no Light Beam run, i finally got to Grand Abyss and learned the Boost Jump method to cross it. the first time i got the instant unmorph and the jump, i crossed it without even falling or hitting the terminal fall. this trick is too good lol.

i installed a FlippyDrive on my Gamecube last night. i'll give it a try today to see how it fares compared to GCLoader. one funny thing is that i found out i had put a 256GB microSD card in the SP2 port of the GC i used and i had completely forgotten i had that card there.

i screwed myself out of the hard mode rewards in Prime 4 because i had played the intro in a lower difficulty and raised it to hard after that. why even allow this if it's not going to count? what is even the point of that option? who thought of this stupid shit?
