I feel like I’m stumbling into a hyper competent phase and I don’t like it.

Some slightly bummer new from the tribe- they need a LOT more documentation than I currently have, and the process takes longer than I was originally told. 4-6 months at least, and my case is complicated.

This is Max. He snuck out in the middle of the night and walked 5 miles to get a breakfast burrito from a store that gave him one once. They hadn't opened yet when he got there, but Max was found the next morning thanks to his GPS collar patiently waiting outside for his well-earned snack. 14/10

Really random thought: what if some people are more likely to get into debt or not take care of certain matters because they can avoid phone reminders? I remember before cell phones you had no idea who was calling and had to answer it to find out.

I keep a “light book” -a novel, magazine, anything I read for fun- and a “medium book” -something I read for education, self help, information- in rotation. One in the morning with tea, and one to unwind at night.

First random thought of the day- since companies are people (hah!) should they not have to take a “do no harm” vow? We make other people take oaths of that nature. Make them vow not to harm humanity.

Got up the courage to email the pub I submitted to but didn’t receive an acknowledgement that the story was submitted. Have not heard back and don’t know what to do about that.

“It is not editorial content and was not created by, or approved by, the Sun-Times newsroom.” Then how did it get into the newspaper? Is it ad content? I’ve seen stuff like that, but it’s usually got something across the top to tell us.

I have once again found my Bluetooth keyboard! I’ve been looking at it for months- it was just upside down and the same color as the container it was in. I’ve been wondering why it was made that way….
