Sound UP for the squeak of a two-day old baby sea otter! These little potatoes are almost helpless for months, while mom takes care of their every need. 🦑

i really resent the continued assertion that there’s so much anger on both sides, as if the causes of the anger are equally legitimate. we’re angry because masked maniacs are violently snatching our family and neighbors off the street, and they’re angry because we’re calling them out for it.

Today we saw a group of Humpbacks aggressively disrupt the hunt of a pod of transient Orcas. The seagulls appeared to be cleaning up floating sea lion bits, so the Humpbacks were probably too late to fully effectuate any altruistic tendencies, but they tried. 🦑

The biggest divide is not between “right” and “left." It’s between democracy and oligarchy. The billionaires who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us. They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see that they have all the wealth and power.

My wife took this video of a boisterous bottlenose dolphin in Monterey Bay, CA. At the very end this lunatic breached parallel to the boat and actually brushed against my wife’s shoulder on the way back down. At that moment, it had to be at 10-12 feet in the air. A super rare encounter! 🦑

Kräken's post inspired me to make a meme. Save & share because it should be seen broadly & made into bumper stickers, bridge signs & flyers. ICE is a fascist Gestapo-like secret police force with poorly trained goons that violate our rights & use maximum force to unconstitutionally abduct people.

If you are a California voter be on the lookout for anti Prop 50 mailers like this one. I received one of these and It’s a trick that was created by Charles Munger Jr. and a bunch of others. Munger Jr. has spent $10 Million to defeat Prop 50 aka the Election Rigging Response Act.

We’re getting a mailer like this every day. While the flyer does not make its partisan origins clear, the leader of the group behind the piece is also the chair of the California Republican Party. Republicans arguing for election fairness? After Texas? Please.

Let me get this straight. Maxwell spent days meeting with the Justice Department and didn't implicate anyone. But she got moved to a minimum security prison anyway. So, what exactly was she rewarded for? This ought to be a scandal, but it seems like nobody cares.

When humpback whales spend time close to the boat, they behave with such gentleness that their awareness of their own power and their conscious effort not to impact us is obvious. It reminds me of pet videos where an enormous dog plays delicately with an infant. 🦑

Does Stephen Miller ever say anything normal. Like, can he say "warm day today, huh" or "I am going to the dentist at 11" or does every sentence have to contain a lie about immigration or a series of ethnic slurs.

Come for the rarely-seen spectacle of a humpback lunge feeding a stone’s throw from the beach. Stay for the exasperated fisherman who was ready to accept the sooty shearwater feeding frenzy, but now wonders if maybe it’s time to just go home. 🦑

A mother and calf pair of humpbacks lunge feed on anchovies. In this location, the mother whale was longer than the water was deep! But the anchovies were so thick they were darkening whole swaths of ocean, so it was probably worth the trip for these two. 🦑
