Been playing Stardew Valley lately

Watching Hook with my kid during a blizzard and the dialogue for this movie is really cringe, but I do kinda think that this being one of Spielberg's worst films really highlights how shit movies have gotten lately. Also John Williams is a national treasure.

One of the scary things about being a "just do stuff" person is that, yes, I am not scared to do things like learn Unreal Engine, but it also means that I know to use master materials and then instance them but don't know how I learned it, and I don't know what else I don't know.

I'll have to look it up to be 100% sure but our demo was having a huge perf issue and I think it was due to alpha overdraw issues from leaves, so it's a hilariously untrivial problem. It made my 5070ti shoot to 80% capacity lol

I had an issue trying to figure out how to bake normals into a new UV packing about a month ago, and I finally figured out the magic source for getting it to work, and it was largely just because I was ignoring the UV map field in the Normal Map node. Proud I solved this myself.

Am I the only person who has to do a password change every time I log in on a different device for this fucking app? Lmao I've never had this happen before anywhere, but it's consistent here.

Affinity's creative suite seems to work decently well in Linux through Wine/Lutris with a bit of setup, curious if I can use it as a Photoshop replacement or not.
