Actually, the protected characteristic of “sex” is not included in the Equality Act 2006, which established the EHRC. It was Parliament’s wish the EHRC promote good relations in respect of “gender”. [section 10] www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2006/3...

For people who think this is only new legislation and does not change the Supreme Court decision. No. The existence of section 14 was a very good indication that gender reassignment changes sex. Bringing it into force is in clear defiance of the judgment.
