I completely agree. Proofs represent an important last check for mistakes that have been overlooked so far. 3-4 working days should be minimum.

Don’t underestimate the power of encouragement in career progression. Asking PhD students why they decided to enter grad school, many say “my supervisor suggested it to me”. And more importantly, this applies to all levels of the ladder, so if you see someone who is ready for the next step, say it!

Our lab studies molecular microbiology using structural (X-ray/cryo-EM) and functional (in vivo) methods with a special focus on bacterial survival and defence mechanisms, toxins, anti-phage etc. Follows as well as suggestions for whom to follow are much appreciated, so we can start building this!
