Brooklyn College is proud to announce that Dr. Lucy Shapiro ’62 has received the prestigious 2025 Lasker-Koshland Special Achievement Award in Medical Science.

After serving as a Undergraduate Student Government Senator since his sophomore year, Paul is now president, focused on amplifying student voices, strengthening relationships with administrators, and building a stronger campus community.

On this 24th anniversary, we pause to remember and honor all those who lost their lives on September 11. Their memory is in our hearts, and we carry forward the courage, strength, and resilience that continue to inspire us all.
