The Indigenous Tipi Prayer Camp was set up on February 9 at Coldwater Spring (Mni Owe Sni), across the road from the Whipple Federal Building. Tonight, March 15, in the falling snow, the final tipi came down after four days of ceremony and fasting to close out the camp.

Yesterday, Feb. 22, people gathered at the corner of Robert and Hurley in West St. Paul to protest the continued presence of ICE in Minnesota and beyond. From there, they marched down Robert St., an area with a high concentration of immigrant run businesses, to show support and solidarity.

Thousands came out to the public memorial service put on by first Nations people and Renee Good's family exactly one month after Renee was murdered by an ICE agent. Much of the event was a sacred ceremony that could not be filmed or photographed.

“Pray, honor, defend” The indigenous Lead rally at the Whipple building which included dance, drums, songs, prayers with repeated calls for ICE out of sacred, stolen land. Participants later approached the barrier fence and tied prayer ribbons to it.

Minnesotans are showing up for their community in countless ways. These roundabouts or "check points" to keep an eye out for ice and to slow down traffic as ice has been speeding through neighborhoods and going through stop signs in red lights.

On January 31, thousands gathered in Minneapolis for the Ride Together, Stand Together bike ride honoring Alex Pretti, who was an avid cyclist and outdoorsman.

Tracy Wong of @myhuongkitchen became a local hero after opening her doors on January 23rd to shelter people from tear gas and cold. During today’s nationwide general strike, she closed her business but kept her space open, offering free homemade chicken soup, tea, hand warmers, and treats.
