Thousands came out to the public memorial service put on by first Nations people and Renee Good's family exactly one month after Renee was murdered by an ICE agent. Much of the event was a sacred ceremony that could not be filmed or photographed.

“Pray, honor, defend” The indigenous Lead rally at the Whipple building which included dance, drums, songs, prayers with repeated calls for ICE out of sacred, stolen land. Participants later approached the barrier fence and tied prayer ribbons to it.

Happening now outside of Morrill Hall on the campus of the University of Minnesota students have chained themselves to the front doors demanding the president of the university, Rebecca Cunningham whose offices in Morrill Hall, to show up and declare the campus a sanctuary campus. 02/06/26

Minnesotans are showing up for their community in countless ways. These roundabouts or "check points" to keep an eye out for ice and to slow down traffic as ice has been speeding through neighborhoods and going through stop signs in red lights.

Drummers from across the Twin Cities gathered throughout downtown Minneapolis for a decentralized protest against ICE. More than 60 drummers positioned themselves on separate street corners, using drums to deliver a unified message calling for ICE out now 🥁🪘

On January 31, thousands gathered in Minneapolis for the Ride Together, Stand Together bike ride honoring Alex Pretti, who was an avid cyclist and outdoorsman.

Tracy Wong of @myhuongkitchen became a local hero after opening her doors on January 23rd to shelter people from tear gas and cold. During today’s nationwide general strike, she closed her business but kept her space open, offering free homemade chicken soup, tea, hand warmers, and treats.

Today, January 27, at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) held a protest demanding accountability for the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti,calling for the agents responsible to be held accountable and for charges to be brought immediately.

A viral videos shows an Indigenous 2-Spirit person collapsing with a bloodied hand. There’s online speculation if it’s real or AI. Can confirm it's real. My photos of them were taken before the incident, and another photographer captured them on the ground. Their condition is unknown.

The BCA (bureau of criminal apprehension) just got on scene where Alex Pretti was murdered to Begin there private investigation. Despite having a warrant yesterday to be on seeing DHS denied them entry so they've had to wait till today to start their work.

Minnesotans show up for each other. Local businesses near where Alex was murdered opened their doors providing shelter, food, and comfort to the community as tear gas filled the air and the people took to the streets all day long.

Jan 24 on Nicollet Ave, Border Patrol shot and killed ICU nurse Alex Jeffrey Pretti while he legally observed ICE. He was wrestled, pistol-whipped, and shot while motionless. As the community gathered, agents fired tear gas, pepper balls, and other chemical irritants.

Mask was frosting over in the cold couldn't see anything. So I wipped the inside down with a hand warmer and then left it inside. It worked wonders and then used one on the outside anytime some frost showed up. Hope this helps if you need to defrost your gas mask at any point 🙏🏼 stay safe!

This morning 01/19, community members showed up at the Target in West St Paul to hold a sit-in action of song and public testimony, demanding accountability from Target. The company has allowed ICE agents to stage in their parking lots and has remained silent as ICE has abducted their workers.

Three years today. The cops are already killing protesters—it's not a line we haven't crossed, it's a thing already happening—but lots of people never heard about or paid attention to this one. So it goes

Two community members stand on the street corner of Central Ave and 18th St, watching over a local business in 5° temps with a wind chill of -15°. They are patrolling the area, keeping an eye out for ICE activity, doing what they can to protect their immigrant neighbors.
