it’s been a LONG time since I did a little Meet the Artist, and a lot has changed. Where I live, the art I make, and the inspirations have all shifted with time, as they tend to do. 35 has already felt like multiple lives in three short months, but it’s a gift all the same.

The true Hogwarts Legacy is 70k pounds donated to the people who took the legal definition of 'woman' to the UK supreme court and got a ruling that excluded trans women. You can't 'separate the artist from the art' when the proceeds of the art are used to attack trans people.

Rowling is actively using the money you send to her for HP stuff to demonize trans folks and take away their rights. No ethical consumption etc but the calculus on this one seems pretty easy to me
