Some milder temps are hitting at the perfect time as our first practice rides of the year get underway for students in Week Four of Earn-A-Bike starting tonight! Meanwhile, we kicked off two more six-week courses today, at the International Institute and here at our headquarters.

Happy Wednesday! Two of our current SLPS Earn-A-Bike cohorts are nearing the halfway point of their six-week-long in-school experience. Today's lessons are all about safety, while meanwhile our mechanical team wraps up refurbishing each student's chosen bike in time for their first practice rides! 🚲

Our shops and classrooms are hopping on this mild Monday! This semester's Dream Machines collaboration with @washu.edu got off to a great start at our headquarters, and two new elementary Earn-A-Bike cohorts kicked off week one of six in Walnut Park East and Botanical Heights!

“We’re going to need a bigger wall.” A couple of years ago, we started framing graduation photos from each class as a simple way to celebrate our youth and mark a milestone. Today, we added nearly 700 STL Youth graduates to the wall, representing the Class of 2025.

Three months after volunteers packed these bikes in a shipping container, they just cleared customs this week in Ghana and are headed out into the community via Village Bicycle Project!

The clouds didn't keep this fourth-grade crew from making the most of the mild fall temps during Earn-A-Bike Day 3 at school today. Even when a BWorks lesson is off bike (like today's safety discussions and helmet decorating), we love getting kids outdoors as much a possible -- and they love it too!

What a beautiful Saturday! It's meet-your-bike day at the International Institute for nine Earn-A-Bike students on week four of their BWorks class. Back at the shop, we convened week two of Learn-To-Ride for seven soon-to-be riders. We're so grateful to all the teachers, mechanics & other helpers! 🍁

No aurora here in Soulard - just bright lights, a few empty water bottles, big smiles, and kids learning to ride after dark! Every pedal forward is a little victory over fear and a big step toward freedom. Thanks to everyone who helps us keep the glow going!

Your annual reminder to slow down your driving and be extra cautious this weekend. Lots of kids out and about trying to enjoy our neighborhoods and just be kids.

It all began with drawings — simple lines on paper. Each kid had a vision: laying down rainbows, dragons and flames, bikes for icy streets, or ones built to carry special friends. The ideas were wild, colorful, and entirely their own.

We first met #STL teenager Lilah about a year ago, when she registered for one of our four-week-long Learn-To-Ride programs. Like a growing number of American kids, she had not yet had the opportunity to master the skill of riding a bike. "And I didn't have a desire to learn after being injured ..."
