I've been actually happy with my art lately, like I'm learning and getting better and making stuff I'm kind of proud of. I don't think it'll catch on here, though. Maybe I don't post enough, or maybe I'm not consistent enough to build an audience? I hope it's not because my art is actually bad.

A mock cover for my story featuring my jackalope I’ve been working on. I’m happy with how it turned out. Moch’s horns are nubby usually, but for the cover and story title I think it’s important to show that they can change size.

It's very funny to me as a scientist that regardless of what stage of your career you are in, if you work in or run a wet lab, when it's time to take professional pictures you WILL be photographed gazing into a beaker of brightly tinted liquid.

Y'all my grant is due on Monday and once it's out of my hands y'all got a real storm comin', I'm SO ready to draw again.

Another repost of an old Mochi phone draw that I liked at the time. I think I like her new jackalope vibe more than her just being a hare.

I can tell I have pent-up creative energy from the fact that over Thanksgiving break, (the only time in two months I haven't worked all day every day) I've banged out a WIP I'm proud of, did half a dozen observational studies in my sketchbook at Disney with my kid, and bought a guitar. I NEED art.

Throwback to this time last year when I really locked in on drawing my Sona. Can't believe how long I used that janky phone app before getting an iPad.
