So I said Ostranauts had some issues in the tutorial (albeit only to say it's worth playing regardless), and it looks like the ones I experienced have been fixed already! Still obsessed, and it's great to see the fixes are rolling in.

I bought Ostranauts a little while back but didn't get around to playing it until recently, and holy shit I'm obsessed now. It definitely still feels like an early access game, but the core gameplay loop is very satisfying, and I like the lore & general vibes.

I finally managed to complete the tutorial for Ostranauts! I immediately died two seconds later after undocking from the space station for my first gig, promptly forgetting I needed to pull away from the dock and apparently slamming into K-LEG Station while messing with the nav computer.

Anyone who's ever played Ostranauts will recognise that Wes has a dangerous CO2 buildup here.

My first experience finding a pirate in ostranauts was that it had a fucking machete and I had a pistol it knocked me out after I shot them 4 times, I then stayed down for like 5 hours and by the time I got up the pirate was watching some shit on his phone then died by blood loss, incredible

Every time I come back to Ostranauts I learn 5% more about the game and it makes it 50% better. Every little task feels like doing a ridiculous Dwarf Fortress engineering megaproject. Here's my character Briana. She's actually good at engineering so I can finally build stuff. She has a gun & is gay.

Was a bit anxious about understanding how ostranauts plays, given that a bunch of steam reviews describe it as obtuse and overly complicated. But nah, it's chill. The in-game manual is great. And I think it's gonna be a while till I encounter a game that's as brain frying as Terra Invicta
