Finished watching Death Proof, and it really does give a lot of room for character dialogue, sometimes too much. At some points it left me more confused than interested, but I think with some leaner editing it would be really great.

Finished watching Baby Driver, I always love how Edgar Wright plays with scene transitions and camera movement. It does a great job of making the driving cool, and the diegetic music lets them have a great variety of songs.

What's wrong Mr. Storefront? Does the participatory nature of a game force you to confront the visceral disgust that it's meant to evoke? Do you avoid thinking beyond the surface of other art just because you can dissociate yourself from the characters in a movie or book?

Finished watching Falling Down, fascinating to see after all I've heard about it. The little setups that pay off after you've forgotten about them are great, and I think it does a great job of both escalation, and each incident showing that there is an active choice to be made.

Finished watching G-Saviour, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked about it overall. The main drawback is the dated CGI, but even then, it has a charming corniness, like a Saturday morning cartoon.

Finished watching Frankenstein (2025). Very well done movie, only a few spots felt elongated or a bit on the nose to me, but Guillermo Del Toro most certainly knows how to make a good movie.

I can finally say definitively after having watched with my own eyes: people who not just dislike, but truly hate either Gundam SEED or Unicorn with some kind of burning passion are wrong. You should be directing that towards AGE instead

Finished watching Gundam SEED Freedom, it did a lot to expand on both series, not quite as well as EW, but aside from a few smaller parts that felt bit hand-wavy or underexplored, it was mostly a really good time, especially in the back half.

Finished watching Gundam: Requiem for Vengance. I was really impressed by how good the mobile suits and vehicles looked, though the people were sometimes a bit off. I thought it had a really good core, though being so short felt like it didn't have time to set up a lot of things. Still a good watch!

Finished watching Gundam SEED Destiny. I thought it did a good job of expanding on the first series for almost every character. It has a lot of themes to consider, and does an especially good job of showing complex situations where you can understand each side, to further etch in tragedy of war.

Finished watching Speed Racer, and I thought it did such a great job of balancing good cation, story, and innovation on the anime, it would be hard not to enjoy it. A movie that really leaves it all out on the track, and with the exception of a few small spots, ages beautifully.

Just finished watching Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc. From the visuals, to the music, to the voice acting, this is basically a perfect adaptation of an already beloved story arc. It stands in distinguished company of movies one could call perfect. Absolute cinema.

I finished watching Gundam AGE... I don't think I've been this angry at a show in years. It has a cool premise, sets up cool ideas, some of the best overall mobile suit designs in a show ever.. and completely fumbles it; spaghetti dropped all over the floor. You don't need to watch this one.

Finished watching Gundam SEED, what a trip! It heavily borrows from 0079 early on, but does manage to do its own thing. Once it gets going, it’s actually a pretty good show. I really enjoyed Mu and Murrue, when they’re apart but especially when they’re together. Definitely worth watching!

Watched 100 Meters in the theatre, and it's filled to the brim with beautiful animation and creative direction. The story has some unconventional direction in places that really lets it stand out and present its message in a unique way. Highly recommended!
