FB got some weirdos. I posted pics an 2-3 dudes kept going “erm it looks light grey”, coming back to comment on other peoples comments hours later. “Whites easy when you don’t actually use white”, “looks good but not white” such weird things to get hung up on. No legit criticism just kinda demeaning

I came up with a marginally more efficient way to paint my red for army scales but I’m stuill stuck on how long the power packs will takes, 20-30 mins is a bit much but awful across a couple dozen

Got most the colors blocked in and it’s coming along nicely. Iye not relevant to this one but I’m not sure how I want the helmets for the fast attack models specifically. Traditionally for BAs it’s yellow but yellow sucks. I am doing blue for heavy support but closer to turquoise

Where I think the other helmet dosnt look great on the boob armor the beaky looks surprising decent. Now it’s taking every bit of strength not to use them exclusively

I’ve spent the last 3-4 days just trying to kit bash and print so many pieces. I’m not sure if it was worth it but it’s done. I’ll primarily focus on plastic kits cause this was kind of a nightmare, but my sanguinary guard looks good tho so there’s that

Oh no... I'm becoming obsessed with Vampirella. Another experiment in shape and colour inspired by fashion illustrations of the 40s and 50s. I think it lost a bit of impact with each little detail I added, but I still like it. Stop the presses.

I didn’t forget about my corsairs

I’ve decided to incorporate some boob armor but most won’t be. Obviously as resources dwindle the daughters of the angel(tm) have to rely on older more antiquated armor mks to maintain their position. The real downside to these 3d printed torsos is the helmetsi want don’t look amazing on them

The simplest thing to do was paint up one of the boob armor marines. Admittedly looks. Significantly better painted

I’m messing around with some stuff, boob armor or no? I’m kind of stuck i found a creator I like but the female torso just feel off on marine bodies and I kind of want to do more than just head swaps. It dosnt help that one’s painted, and one is probably the worst possible pose for this

More corsairs as ussual

Another one down. Realistically it’s probably a good thing but my pallets narrowed quite a bit, all the black and grey areas are the same handfull of paints just in different ratios to sell it as different materials

I went a lil too hard on the liquid pigment cause I don’t mix it enough initially… so I have to do some touch ups but he’s basically done otherwise. The upscaling came out pretty much perfect

Still have some scaling kinks to work out but other than tailgate they’re starting to look pretty good. Some pirates have hooks for hands, other have a chain saw

Somehow I didn’t manage to finish up my first upscale Corsair but god does this guy look better. That helmet is my fav but I’ve wanted to do some bare heads and they just don’t look right in most csm bodies. Surprisingly if a primaris stood up straight he’d still be taller than my new marines…

My first official Son of Medusa. It took forever to figure out a consistent green but this is the best I could do. I am very happy with the lenses tho, I’m trying to incorporate flourecents more. Tomorrow I’m hoping to get a Corsair done

Still some elements I’m not sure about, mainly the lenses. I did order a couple olive colors to act as mid tones but I think for infantry this probably going to be my recipe

I think I did a pretty good job at scaling everything

I kind of prefer painting chaos trim. I’m stuck between wanting any potential marines looking great like my chaos stuff but also not wanting to comment 3-4 hours to painting one like I do my chaos stuff. It feels easier to justify the time sync cause chaos models feel more characterful
