Great geographical (secondary)data collection today with Y14s. We used AGOL to familiarise ourselves with prior lava fields, then used this graph to find satellite images of each lava flow. Must all data collection be primary? Is remote sensed data collection still fieldwork?

I love being able to use ArcGIS Online to create bespoke basemaps. This one is a combo of Community basemap, a shaded topography layer with Multiply blending mode, with some Sketch Layers showing some of the key features. Pupils will be using this to analyse lava flows around Grindavik.
