What's good for an organization often comes at the expense of its workers. In this pre-print, we find that exposure to workplace conflicts & information about union grievance procedures reduces perceived alignment between workers and management and increases union attitudes. Check it out below!

Structural barriers to unionization are manifold, but what about psychological barriers? Orgs foster identification & commitment among workers, which inhibit interest in unionizing. Exposure to org conflicts & union info reduces workers' perceived alignment with orgs & improves pro-union attitudes.

A worker/org conflict is like when your boss is harassing you and your recourse is HR but your boss also supervises HR, that sort of thing is common and can lead people to prefer a third party structure! ✊🏻
