I think Pantone have got it wrong, Orange seems to be the colour for 2026 so far! So very glad to be posting these out to two homes today. Extraordinarily grateful to still be getting orders in bleak January. It's really helping me out, and hopefully providing a little cheer to those ordering too.

Finally got a chance to sit down and read A Moment in Time all about Robert Tavener's early Lithographs. Every image is an absolute delight, I adore his work. I'd love to have a go at Lithography.

I find life drawing difficult. I know what I want it to look like but it pretty much always looks awful, to the point where I'd started to get rather disheartened with my capability. But today I decided to take my time and really go for it and I'm so pleased I did. Model in cold light. Watercolour

All prepped for my print drop off to The Horsebridge Arts Centre m, Whitstable inPRINT exhibition on Saturday. The exhibition will be open to the public from 16 January to 8 February 2026. What could be better then going to see lots of inky creations by the sea in dull ol' January?

Stopped off in King's Wood to photograph the stunning moon on the way back from a little trip out. I think I might use this photo for some kind of print at some point.

Perfect for this time of year

Seeing out 2025 with my all-time favourite piece of metal! What a year! I left my 'profession' of 22 years and have spent the last 6 months loving being able to be creative every day, plus just about getting by on the fruits of my labour. It's wonderful and terrifying, as all good things are.

It's definitely the time of year to curl up with a book, especially if it's one with amazing C F Tunnicliffe illustrations, despite its likelihood to make me cry! Here's the beautiful vintage book pictured with my linoprint of an Otter underwater, printed a month or so ago.

Christmas eve and I'm settling down to do some drawing using the best toy I bought myself in 2025. For me, a big part of Christmas is drawing and I still feel full of the same joy, immersion and wonder I felt as a child whenever I manage to draw. May it always be so!

One of a few linoprints I'm currently working on. It's quite nice to be working on something different, well toy or ornament versions of buildings and birds, rather than real ones anyway 🤣. I'll tell you more about what this is all about at a later date.

Inking up something new...

After a chaotic but fun weekend I carved out a peaceful moment in the studio this morning to package a few more of my Snowy Night at the Cinema linoprints, reflecting back on November's buzz and ahead to December and beyond. The prints are available at handmadebyhaggy.etsy.com

I made seven whole pounds at a Christmas fair today. It was an appalling day for all the stallholders there so at least I wasn't alone in my misery 🤣.

Another wonderful exhibition visited over the weekend, Women in Print at the William Morris Gallery all about Liberty fabrics. Particularly loved seeing the original gouache paintings of patterns and the designer's notes. Now I must stop gallivanting and get some more work done!

Another revolution of the sun, another year of printmaking and seeking out the good stuff to come. I celebrated by going to the really really good Noel Carrington Nothing Need be Ugly exhibition at The Higgins Bedford. All the beautiful beautiful Auto-Lithography illustrations. So inspiring.
