In my file of "Mascots Gone Too Soon", we have Socks, of the Pawtucket Red Sox. She, and her partner Paws entertained fans up until 2021, when the team moved to Worcester MA and rebranded. They were both popular with the community. A shame their "replacement" isn't nearly so approachable and fun.

Apparently my post yesterday made people think I actually like country music. I can assure you, I do not.

Chumbawumba comes immediately to mind here. A lead single that was pure ear-candy, on album so monumentally bad that our used CD places refused to buy it after the first 100 or so copies got brought in. I only bought the lead single, and still felt ripped off!

After looking through all the CDs at the local antique mall is any indication, nobody actually likes country music.

Tonight is the night I hang up my reindeer jingle-bells for another year. It's always sad, but I had a pretty great season overall. The fact that I did the season after only having my prosthetic leg for 2 months is something I consider one of my greatest accomplishments. I feel very blessed indeed.🦌

One more weekend and "Reindeer Season 2025" will be in the books as I hang up my jingle bells for another year. Oddly, I have spent almost as much time as Sven from "Frozen" as I have as Rudy Reindeer this year! Go fig.. Honestly, I doubt Rudy will ever be eclipsed in popularity. He's a legend. 😉

Yes, that's actual SNOW on Rudy Reindeer's antlers! This particular gig was beset by a vigorous snowstorm, (over an inch during the span of the event!), and I was pretty soggy by the end of the day. Thank goodness my led lights didn't short out.

Okay, here's one from the City of Loveland tree lighting a few years ago. Can you find Rudy? (hint: he's not facing the camera, so the red nose won't help this time!) This was/is a fun gig. 2025 was my tenth appearance!

For anyone wondering why I don't post pix of my reindeer gigs, it's because I have to wait for my agent to share them with me. Since I'm working, I don't have anyone to take pictures for me and have to wait for the official ones by the event photographer. Hopefully soon!

Big event weekend is done! Was in the reindeer suit for seven solid hours today! (had to drive from one gig to the next in suit, since there wasn't enough time between) Tough days, but I'm still forever grateful to be a red-nosed reindeer and bring joy to so many people's faces each year. 🦌

Hugely busy Reindeer Weekend for me. Rudy is in demand, baby! Admittedly, all weekends in December are usually busy in my business, but this weekend is rather extra. I'm going to have to drive from one gig to another in suit!

Driving on the interstate for many hours in the rain, at night, is NOT my idea of a good time. Seriously, from Burlington CO, all the way to Wichita. I wish I still lived in Colorado.

I took a driver's re-test today, which is required in my state after my recent medical issues. I passed, but I'm surprised at how nervous I was. I mean, the last time I took a test with an instructor in the car, it was in one of these:
