i know we dont post much here. we tend to check in, look at cute pics of foxxos, buns, & kitties. then all the other stuff makes us depressed & we check out again before the urge to actually say anything catches up to us. so uh, idk. thank you for the cute foxxos, buns, & kitties i guess

do other authors get sad when they finish writing a book / series? yesterday i wrote the last chapter of the last book of a saga i've been working on since 2021 & it made me very sad. like i was saying goodbye to old friends after going thru a bunch of adventures with them

we've been writers blocked for almost 10 days now & its getting annoying. we were hoping to finish the 1st draft of our current project by tomorrow, but thats definitely not gonna happen... theres at least 6 more chapters to go, unless characters get zoomies again

its backyard berry time! spent like 2 or 3 minutes just wandering around the yard & easily filled a little bowl with fresh black raspberries! free tasty treats make us happy ^^

since it's the last day of pride month I figured I'd at least make one thing for it... i now unveil to you my greatest invention: color bars pride flag

our raspberry bushes are looking good this morning too, we can see a dozen berries ready to go! they're black raspberries, no idea where they came from but one year they started growing in our yard. now we've got 3 huge stands of them ^^

7am peace & quiet, enjoying a cup of tea on our back deck, listening to the birds & squirrels as they wake up & begin their day

today's introspection revelation: i have two modes. "too busy writing to focus on anything else" and "too deep in the anxiety / panic attack to deal with anything else" either way we have a lot of trouble getting most stuff done

i know there's like, sciency stuff going on here? but as long as i'm looking at this picture all i hear in my head is "Also Sprach Zarathustra" (i really hope i spelt that right lol) that has to be intentional right? like, they wanted it to look like the monolith?

we have left the house & done our votey thing for canada. now we retreat back into our author's hidey-hole & avoid the news while we write stories & quietly hope for the best possible outcome, where nobody has to worry about discrimination or systemic violence anymore *anxious kitty sounds*

on thursday the laundryroom door fell off when we opened it. fixed it yesterday & now it works perfectly. all last week our kitchen tap was getting more & more drippy. replaced the valve cartridge this morning, now there's no drips & it works great! feeling kinda chuffed with ourself today ^^

weather and traffic were pretty miserable this morning but we got out there and voted. hoping for some positive change today! #ontario #vote

another of our black cats, this is Arianrhod. she's Ceridwen's sister, & she sort of stopped growing at around 6 months. so she's like perpetual skinny teen kitty.

one of our 3 black cats, Ceridwen is the only one who likes to sleep on her back. she's also got the sharpest claws ever lol.

this is our youngest cat, Trwbl. (pronounced 'trouble') he's a pretty boy but he definitely earns his name
