My hot take on iOS26 is that Liquid Glass is astonishingly ugly. It feels like a weird middle point between the flat design pioneered by Ives and Forstalls more skeuomorphic tendencies. Maybe I’ll adjust to it but it’s weird bubbly aesthetic just isn’t doing it for me at the moment.

Finally got around to playing Silent Hill: The Short Message and while I liked it more than the consensus (walking sims are kind of my jam) the chase sequences were so awful I’m genuinely shocked they ended up in the final product. I wonder how many people bailed on the final one.

One can never truly articulate the joy that comes with waking up to a new Mountain Goats single.

So I finally bit the bullet and watched Kpop Demon Hunters. Took me so long because I have an infantile reactionary aversion to things that are popular. It’s great. Might be one of my fave films I’ve seen this year.
