This is an extremely niche fitness complaint but I don’t like how my grip gives out faster than the target muscle group on barbell RDLs :(

Huge props to the team at Staffpad for making a music notation software and sample library that is just so kickass and overall user friendly! I imported some old pieces from undergrad, used the Berlin Phil pack, and they sounds halfway decent…though I’d give Daniel some notes on transitions, haha!

I often tell students I’ve been playing piano for 20 years, but now that has actually become true. I was 12 when I asked my mom for piano lessons. It was Joe Hisaishi’s “One Summer’s Day” that prompted me to start learning the instrument. And I’m grateful for it.

It’s my birthday today! Turned 32, and spent my day teaching about Ethel Merman, rehearsing students, and posting our cast list for our production of Alice By Heart. An overall chill day, which is what I wanted.

At 10:45pm EST, TikTok shut down in the US. The last full video I was able to see on my FYP was of a cute animated blob who was recapping their time on the app, giving thanks to their followers, and wishing everyone well in the warmest tone. What a last vid to see 😭.
