I found it at a thrift shop over a decade ago, and the artwork still holds up great. Would you know where this particular glass may have come from, like a promotion?

I still think Nintendo missed out on a BIG opportunity with Virtual Boy. Remember the 3DS? VB would have been perfect on 3DS Virtual Console. . Yes, the Circle Pad Pro would have been needed for some games, and the C-Stick on the N3DS wouldn't have been ideal, but most games would have been fine.

So instead of a Switch 2, I got a whole load of new retro games, another Famiclone for the collection, and a new and hopefully better TV antenna. . I think the Switch 2 will become more appealing in time, but the one thing that will make me spring for one ASAP is a Lite variant... with D-Pad. 😊

As much as I love my metal G-Shock watch, I'm starting to think it's causing wrist pain due to it's weight. Ever since I took it off, my wrist hasn't been hurting as much. . I may have to go back to a resin strap watch. Luckily there is a model with identical features I could get....

First round of retro games is ordered. Among them are classics like The Lion King, Super Mario Advance, and things like.... Bubsy.... on Sega Genesis. . I like to approach things with an open mind, and I never played Bubsy as a kid. My gaming tastes were primarily Mario and nothing else. 1/2

I think I will put the Switch 2 off for a little while and instead focus my savings on building up my retro game library and other needs. I still need to get some Sega Genesis classics, and I could use a better TV antenna setup. . By the time I save up for a Switch 2 again, it should be in stock! 😂

I'll have to change my Switch 2 game plan. . I'll just buy the standalone $450 console from Walmart online and acquire the physical version of MKW later on. . I already have plenty of Switch 1 content to play, and perhaps I may be more interested in that new Donkey Kong game instead.

Age verification? Growing up in the 90s, I lived in such a rural area that some classroom movies were shown via a 16mm projector. If we wanted to play other video games besides Mario, we could rent games from the local video store. Some of the local TV channels went off air at night to static!

So there is this artist I follow who sadly found genAI "art" at a local business, and I suggested they talk to the owners about it. They responded that they would no longer have time in their day if they went to every business owner about genAI "art" in their shops. Unfortunately....

And if the red states end up in financial ruin, that affects EVERYONE who lives in them, not just those who voted for T****. Truly good, caring people live in every state and not all of us can afford to move to a blue state. SD is my home, even if our government sucks.

July 4th to me doesn't feel the same. Gone are the wonderful family gatherings after my parents passed on, and all my siblings are spread across my state, making it hard to have a get-together. So instead, I went to work today, and I'll spend the rest of the day with retro games and TV fireworks.

Just got done cleaning all of those NES games I got yesterday. Most just needed pin or shell cleaning, but a few were very dirty with decades old gunk. Ice Hockey got the worst of it, but with some rubbing alcohol, it cleaned up nicely. . I really need to invest in a 1-Up Card cleaner. My wrist...

One last thing, if you ever come across someone who wants to start an argument with you over an issue like social media addiction or politics, just block and move on. Don't respond to them. The argument will go nowhere and the clown will just continue to insult and berate you if you do engage.

Yeah, I think I'm going to try and cut a deal on those pawn shop NES games with my bonus funds, and then stash the last part of it for the Switch 2. (it's split into three separate payments over three bi-weekly pay dates) . Even if I did get that S2 email, I may not have enough to cover sales tax.

Looks like I'll probably be waiting most of the summer to get my Switch2 purchase email. There's a chance I may end up finding it at another official retailer by that point. I already have enough saved up for the console. The last part of my bonus will hit next weekend though.

Sorry for the sudden political post. I hardly ever post about these things myself, but I'm just getting so tired of my part of the US being a national punching bag. I just wish people who are progressive or anti-T**** would know that we aren't all horrible people in these red states.

Okay, MacOS Tahoe beta is actually running quite smoothly on my 2020 Intel iMac, one of the last three Intel Macs that will get Tahoe. Surprisingly stable. ArtRage Vitae works fine (though it did crash on first launch after the update, but worked fine afterward). Compressor doesn't work though.

Also throw in DRM that these big tech/broadcasting companies want to force on to everyone. There are many videos on YouTube going over "NextGen" DRM woes where even people with the proper equipment can't pick up their networks anymore, because the encryption blocks their TV from viewing the signal.

MacOS Tahoe is now on my 2020 Intel iMac, and at first glance, it looks nice and performance is more or less the same as Sequoia was. What I'll be providing feedback on is performance, system stuff, things that need tweaking, and disc burning with Finder. That has been broken since Big Sur.

So yeah, I'm going to do it. MacOS Tahoe beta on my 2020 iMac. Backing up my art and documents just in case. . Yes, it's not totally refined yet, but it's a beta. Things will improve over time, and I plan on participating in the Feedback app. Apple must know removing Launchpad is a mistake.
