Decision Day is meaningless for #SportingKC's opponent as the Dynamo lost to San Diego tonight and are eliminated from playoff contention.

Looking at it from the modern scoring vs shootout, the 99 team got 26 points (6-18-8 w/o shootouts) in 32 games, vs #SportingKC's 27 points in 33 games for this year's team. This is the worst KC team of all time.

Looking at it again, #SportingKC actually just need a draw in one of their final 2 games, it’d put them on 28 points, 3 points clear of DC and SKC would have the wins tiebreaker.

Montreal drop 2 points, & DC loses, both at home. Montreal is at Cincy and DC is at Atlanta on Decision Day. If Atlanta loses tomorrow at LAFC, and next week at Miami, #SportingKC would avoid the Spoon as Atlanta & DC would be behind SKC & playing each other, both wouldn’t pass.

For those that care, the KC Comets finished a perfect 14-0 all time against the Heat, scoring 112 while allowing 53. The +59 GD is 2nd most only to the Comets' +123 against the St. Louis Ambush (who the Comets have played 41 more times).
