You know, Platinum Preppy fountain pens give great value for cost. I hadn't used mine in a while after getting 'better' pens and I had forgotten how smooth the Platinum nibs are. I might have to look into a more expensive Platinum in the future.

One thing I like about fountain pens as a hobby is that anyone can get enjoyment out of it at any number of price points. You can get fountain pens that are awesome to write with for very little money, or you can go all out collecting if that is what you want to do.
