After 20 yrs of fandom involvement, I am convinced I developed some form of Complex PTSD. It's hypervigilance, exhaustion from drama, leading to social avoidance as self-protection. This was caused by repeated betrayal and social trauma from others in our social environment.

I remember at FWA like 2018 Someone slapped, groped my rear, leaned over my shoulder and did a big sniff over my ear To me, 100% sexual assault. I was ready to throw down in the lobby with this guy until I realized, that would have been far worse than just getting on my life.

VW tried to say my brake fluid was contaminated and should be replaced. Here i am like, No it's not. That work was done 6 months ago. Liar :)

Feels like Im passing up or being passed up by a lot of people and that makes my experience with the fandom feel less fulfilling than it used to Turning acquaintances into good relationships feels difficult Having a healthy social aversion to people also does not help with that
