being a primarily digital-only artist it's easy to diminish your own work because like. it's just files, on your computer, or pictures on your blog. but if all these pieces were physical pieces, and you literally had to rent a storage unit just to house it all, and you could walk around and touch it

i wish physical effort wasn't seen as the end-all be-all of artistic skill. (and other things, but thats not the topic) i feel like my best work is several hours of thinking and taking breaks and coming back with a fresh mind vs just a couple of actually drawing

Can’t believe the news, Disney shutting down the marvel. vis dev department. This teams art made them billions and billions of dollars, but it seems that paying a handful or so of fulltime illustrators is simply too much to ask these days.

Devastated to hear the entire Marvel Studios’s Visual Development team has been let go. This was my old home but more importantly, the home of so many incredible artists and peers. Absolutely heartbreaking 😔 Sending all my impacted peers my love and support. Please reach out if you need anything!
