13. At last shelter from the wind and snow. Lets snuggle up to keep warm, we can sit out the storm over Christmas and come back for part 3 of this adventure in the new year. #MountaineeringBears

12. At last they reach a flat col they can put up a shelter. A real group effort and every paw is needed to put up the tent in the wind #MountaineeringBears

The wind and the snow stinging their faces and ice clinging to their fur the #MountaineeringBears crossed the summit of sgurr nan each without stopping.

10 But as they made their way up the next slope the wind was getting up and it started snow. Lets put on some extra layers! We've got this #MountaineeringBears ( mutters expletives about weather forecasts!)

9 The firm rock of the spike made for some delightful scrambling after the scree. Lots of delicate little holds and intricate moves. Stay in balance #MountaineeringBears

3 The day seems much colder than forecast! The rocks on the exposed ridge are slippery! 'We didn't expect ice' cried the #MountaineeringBears
