Starting the new year as a homeowner. Taking the day off of doing updates to pack and chill before hitting the ground running again tomorrow.

Closed on a new house yesterday! Spent today visiting with some trade companies to get quotes and fixed a few small things today. Tomorrow is gonna be the same, but we are also getting the fireplace professionally inspected and cleaned. Hitting the ground running!!

Round 2 of home buying is going A LOT smoother. The sellers are actually answering our questions fully and quickly, and we're actually ahead of schedule on the whole procedure. We just wrapped up Inspection Resolution and they offered a decent amount of credits to fix some extra things!

Stumbled upon a box full of old memorabilia from my time as a baseball player when I was a kid. I also found my plaque when I actually made it to the State Science Fair at school! Made a barometer with a water bottle, a bowl of water, and a ruler. I always wanted to be a Meteorologist as a kid :)

I get to start rummaging through my belongings and start the process of making calls on what I bring to my new home versus gets donated or tossed. This is gonna be a very sobering week for me.

Finally can proceed forward with the purchase of the home! Got some of the last documents we needed.

Ugh, seems like we may be terminating our Purchase Agreement come Monday if things don't pan out. Seller and their Listing Agent are doing terribly on their end to deliver full transparency to what we're about to invest in and we're tired of it.

Inspection seems like it went extremely well! There was 2 siding panels coming off that looks like a fairly easy repair, and Radon mitigation might be necessary (getting it tested as well). Other than that, we'll see what the report says! Should get that by Monday at the latest.

People need to play the "stop promising shit you won't fulfill" challenge. It's infuriating and heart breaking.

Gonna be an insane month ahead of me. Just went under contract for the place! Gonna do the formal Inspection on Saturday and then try to keep up with everything following afterwards.

Felt good to get through my whole workout routine last week. Now to keep that momentum going this week and keep at it!

I am somehow awake and moving today after getting about 5hrs of sleep. It's funny, every time I run an event, I suffer from my brain being unable to fully shut down afterwards to let me sleep peacefully.
