I deeply resent that GenAI has polluted my work life with shit. I agree with @mhmdhsini.bsky.social & Resnick: "citations that point to non-existent work...should be classified as a form of research misconduct...invalid citations amount to data fabrication..." We need to start cracking down hard.

Very basic...stop using error-ridden disinformation machines. Academics, researchers, journalists, students, universities, governments, politicians etc that use them should be called out. "As you can see from this story, all it does is take a sledgehammer to the foundations of shared reality."

Maybe it feels too big and you are unsure where to start. Realise, that even throwing sand in the fascist system’s gears in your own local context, no matter how small, is helping us fight. Fascism can only grow if we let it. Remember, don’t underestimate your expertise and our collective power.
