So Bhakashal has renamed versions of AD&D 1e spells that reflect the setting and tweaks that I wanted to make to these spells. In order to make them easier to find, the new versions are named starting with the same first letter as the replaced spell

Bhakashal wilderness encounters are differentiated by terrain type, the mix of humanoids, animals, monstrous plants and monsters varies.

Mounts are a central part of the Bhakashal experience, in a searing hot tropical setting, moving around on foot is a challenge. Bhakashal has urban and wilderness pursuit rules and a range of different mounts.

Bhakashal has a number of ghosts/spirits that haunt various wards. Every ghost has “trigger conditions”, and if a regular encounter is indicated and those conditions prevail, the ghost will appear.

My Thursday group got a bit of a wakeup call. They are now running the Bhakashal Thieves Guild. The guild had been bankrolling bandits that were attacking ships coming into the city. Patrols from House Tairn were interfering. They decided to go out and give the House Tairn patrols a bloody nose.

Yes to this. Bhakashal is a very deadly setting. In Bhakashal you spend 0 time out of play when you lose a PC. You can play a henchman, or a second character, or take a pregenerated NPC and run that for the rest of the session. New PCs can be generated in 15-20 min if desired.
