I was a very heavy smoker and really enjoyed smoking indoors (a pint, pack of cigarettes and a book at a bar was my heaven…)- I was really upset about the ban at first but then just got used to it. *I also don’t smoke anymore.

Quite aside from the main point of this which was collecting useful health data, and that I could sort of see when things were higher risk in terms of respiratory illnesses circulating, I liked feeling like I was doing something useful for public health.

Now that it's public: RIP FluTracking, which I understand only cost $50k per year to administer, yet provided incredibly valuable and irreplaceable information on levels of influenza-like-illness. What an utterly dim decision.

Doctors and parents should make decisions about what is best for their kids health - not politicians. The Government has said doctors cannot give new prescriptions of puberty blockers to children who are suffering from gender dysphoria. That is putting kids at risk.
