It's a bit after midnight when I'm writing this. Happy 2nd birthday to MeTV Toons, a pretty remarkable network that has entertained my cartoon-loving self for half a year now. It's been almost six months to the day since I got the channel, and I feel the network's just getting started.

This is a really interesting document. Basically, the issue MeTV Toons is having is that because these shows are originally produced for children, they have to obey advertising limits. But if a show was made for kids 30 years ago, and it currently appeals mostly to adults, is it still a kids show?

I was noticing those odd timeslots. Not exactly showing them on the half-hours. Kind of curious how they were going to deal with that. I know the FAST version has localized ads, so I wonder how those breaks translate OTA.

We now have a schedule for the OTA version of Hasbro Legends via TitanTV. Very similar to the FAST version of the Channel.

Was just searching through FCC files and found this waver request Weigel filed with the FCC back in March to wave FCC Children's Programming Commercial Limits on MeTV Toons due to it being aimed at adults. About to read over it now. but here's the Summary page, Table of Contents and Conclusion.

Found a post on OTA Sub-Reddit of someone mentioning the launch date was to be June 15 based on a message showing on stations owned by Get After It Media. The user says it now shows as launching on June 22. Is there anyone on here in a market with Get After It Media O&O who can confirm this message?

Looks like some schedule changes on YTA for June. The Weekday Morning Cartoon is being expanded to 2 hours, Monday - Friday. It's still one half-hour show per day, but now 4 episodes instead of 2. Also, Extreme Dinosaurs replaces Stone Age on Wednesday and Max Fleishman's Superman is added on Friday

Watching Rango on GRIT. Haven't seen this movie since it came out. It feels weird seeing a Nickelodeon Movies logo on an OTA network.

So I noticed last Monday morning the movie Rango was airing on GRIT and it appears to be scheduled to air again this Friday night and on May 28 in the afternoon and night before and after the Scripps Spelling Bee. It's interesting to see an animated Nickelodeon Movies movie from 2011 airing on GRIT

Finally getting to converting my DVR Recording. YTA Network Promos for Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sheet Sharks. They pretty much took part of the shows intros and used them for Promos.

So I DVR'd Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog on YTA today. It aired with a TV-G rating and I counted about 8 minutes of paid ads in the 2 commercial breaks during the one episode. In other words, they are likely not airing it as a children's program and are exceeding the 10.5 minute commercial limit.

Looks like they cut over the feed to YTA TV now. Right after Bonanza and before the Network ID, was a promo for Legend of the Dragon. Nice to see they actually have promos for the Bobot cartoons.

Was just Channel Surfing and noticed KVPA-LD 42.7 is now labeled YTA, although it is currently still airing infomercials. So I checked YTA TV's website and sure enough it is listed, so it must be coming soon. For those who don't know, YTA airs a weekday and Saturday morning block of Bobot cartoon...
