So Iron Crown had two releases this week. The second was HARP Steampunk. This is a sourcebook for HARP Fantasy *or* HARP SF. It handles anything from historical steampunk to crazy inventions. Also rules for clockwork or steam construct PCs, Victorian mysticism, vehicles, etc.

I skipped the drawing part and just make my comic in Poser! Similar functionality to Daz Studio, but I think it's better for multi-panel work. The shader model is basically the same as Blender Cycles.

Better split this out as its own thing... "That kind of crowd" here is 100-120 players, with 25-50 cast. Every LARP is different, but we have a director behind the scenes who the cast can go to for roles etc. The director tracks what is running, what needs to run.

Copy-editing HARP Steampunk and I noticed you get big bonuses operating equipment for something adventurers rarely do: reading the instruction manual! So that makes me ask, where are the weirdest places the PCs might have to search for those instructions?

We lean towards regular sentences in RMU. Bulleted lists are good for content that is actually a list (and sometimes those should be tables anyway). I'm not prepared to give up all formatting but emphasis is most effective when it is least common. If it's everywhere, it fails to emphasize.

For comparison, in Rolemaster Unified: * For each stat, roll three d100. (Reroll 20 or less.) The middle is your stat, the highest is your potential. (Increase stats towards your potential every level.) * You get a couple tweaks. Boost any stat to average, or the high stat to 90, etc.

The wait for automated Rolemaster Unified tables is nearly over as the core books head to Foundry VTT.

Just rolled out support for Foundry VTT in #Rolemaster #TTRPG Core book today, the remaining books over the next few days (Drivethrurpg only lets us launch one thing per day). Roll20 support has already been available for a while, not to mention the ERA software. So lots of options now.

I'm enjoying how writing can take you back into your own past, even when it's not autobiographical. Kind of sad to move on from the section about volcanic environments!
