If they ever revive The Unwritten, I think they should get Hayden Sherman of Absolute Wonder Woman to do the art. Why? I dunno, I just think it would be a perfect match. Whatever happened to Mike Carey, anyway?

I also have about 1,000 issues each of Daredevil, Fables, and Hellblazer; I just kept pulling those things out. I have a set of Giffen's OMAC, and have no memory of buying them. Mildly surprised to see that I have a set of trade collections of The Unwritten.

Still sorting out all the comics I never filed away since 2012... I think I have 500 issues of The Sixth Gun. I am also delighted to see that I own trades of several series I had totally forgotten I bought, like Frankenstein: Agent of SHADE and Hawkeye. Those, I'll be keeping.

I'm curious about that "exit velocity" stat the TV guys are always shoving at us- has there ever been a home run (or even a high fly) that was hit at, say, 65 MPH? They're always 100+ MPH but it seems to me like 100 MPH is kinda the floor for this phenomenon.

Been watching THE BLACKLIST, which I didn't do when it was airing originally. The co-lead has zero charisma but hey, it's got Parminder Nagra (Jess from BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM) acting all grim as a no-nonsense FBI agent and it is fun watching James Spader condescend to everybody.

I liked season one OK, and I was kinda sorta looking ahead to watching season two, but if I did I have no recollection of it at all. I don't know how to react to that- am I sundowning? Should I watch S2 again to see if I remember it? It's a conundrum.

Watching the period of Scooby-Doo that had Daphne and Shaggy traveling together with Scooby and Scrappy-Doo. Fred and Velma were presumably shacked up elsewhere. Shag and Scoob constantly run arround scared while Daphne and Scrappy solve the actual mysteries.

Snejbjerg (seems like only a hundred years ago that I was struggling to spell his name when I reviews STARMAN) is doing some of the best work I've ever seen from him here. Kudos to color artist John Kalisz too.

Started a new to me Ghost Machine series this morning- Halo & Hornsby. Tomasi sure does like his angel stories, and Snejbjerg is his best collaborator so far. At first I was dreading a GOOD OMENS-flavored narrative, but it's only marginally beholden to that. I detect Kirby New Gods in there too...

For over a decade, the bulk of my comics collection has been in closets at my mom's house (she had the space, I didn't). I have been wanting to get them all back together, file them again, then pull out runs and single issues that mean a lot to me, and sell the rest. 7 longboxes and 2 short to go.

Watched the latest episode of INVINCIBLE (Prime) this AM, checked out Ryan Ottley's Instagram, now it has me thinking about reading the actual comics series, which I've managed to avoid so far.

I never watched REMINGTON STEELE when it was actually airing back in the day; watching some of the reruns on Hallmark Mystery I can't help but think they had the Avengers (Steed and Peel, you know) in mind sometimes when scripting.

Watched HOUSEBOAT, with Cary Grant and Sophia Loren, last night. This won't mean much unless you've actually seen it, but even though Loren has always been regarded as some sort of sex goddess, I thought Martha Hyer was the keeper there, she was gorgeous. #TCMParty

Another blast from the past that I've been reading and re-reading a lot is Jeff Lemire and Alberto Ponticelli's old New 52 era FRANKENSTEIN, AGENT OF S.H.A.D.E.. Those are some seriously nuts comics, and I love how Frank was presented as much as I hated how James Gunn made him into a lovesick goon.

Read the first two issues of Erica Henderson's HARLEY & IVY - LIFE AND CRIMES. I liked it quite a bit, Henderson has improved greatly as an artist and a writer since the SQUIRREL GIRL days (I liked SG, don't get me wrong). Recommended so far, even though it has that stupid peeled face Joker in it.
