Work is doing a steps challenge, and I just crossed 250,000 total for the last two weeks. Today's the last day, so we'll see where I end up, but I've almost worn my paws down to nubs from all this walking.

After visiting 2 years ago, bullying me for two weeks straight, fawning over my brother as her favourite son, hammering a wedge between me and him that's meant we haven't spoken in the past two years, my mother is arriving this afternoon for another visit. I wonder how she's going to top that.

It's the funniest thing. My dad passed away nearly 11 years ago, and yet I find myself lying awake at 1:30am on a random Tuesday morning thinking about him. It's hard to say how amazing a person he was on here, I'd need a million words to do so. So instead, I'll just say: I miss you, dad.

I didn't seem to have any more palpitations yesterday, but both my legs ache like I've fallen down the stairs, and I got very little sleep last night.

I'm so tired. The last few days my body's been aching and I keep getting palpitations/heart flutters. It's been messing with my sleep so I'm in this perpetual zombie mode x.x

One of the hardest parts about weight loss/dieting is trying to stay motivated throughout the journey. I can see why things like weight watchers succeed, since everyone there has a weekly support group to check in with.

I had a really intense work dream, then woke up at 5am in a panic. Now I'm tired and feel like I've worked a day already :< I think work stress is going to cause me to find another job in the coming months, but things have been so unstable recently that it's a bad time to start job hunting.

If I've been a little quieter than usual the past few months, it's because things at work are a bit tumultuous. We've been asked to return to office (which, while exhausting in itself), has prompted 3 of my team and my only comparable peer on the project to look for work elsewhere.

After my mother's recent visit I realise that I don't really have any family. My brother flat out resents me and my mother endured time with me while waiting for more opportunities to spend time with my brother. My dad was the only one who was always happy to see me, and that's left me a little sad.

Week 1: Off to a strong start, but you tend to lose a lot of water weight at the beginning of a diet. I don't expect the needle to swing this much every week. Change in weight: -6lbs #WoozleWeightloss
