Another year around the sun has been completed. Sorry to disappear... I didn't realize just how much the past few months has effected me. Getting a break and my brain shut down. before I knew it we had to get ready for the radiation treatment... no time to rest

Saw the hearing doc and it appears one of my hearing aids was having battery problems and can't fix it there. She had to send it off to get the battery replaced. At least it isn't costing me more because I remember some of those batteries are expensive.

Laying in bed trying to sleep so decided to read a book. I couldn't focus as a memory of a different book invaded my mind. I remembered small monsters that were created by a boy. and this intense feeling fear and sadness. Took a few moments but I found the book just now. DragonFall!

Another stressful week of doctors and depressing news. My wife will have to go in for radiation treatment and spend the weekend at the hospital, alone, because I can't be near her... forget that we have to stay apart for a week... This news came just a day before her birthday. *deep sigh* I'm tired

It is depressing, I have spent decades learning to work around my disabilities, from learning problems to shakes and chronic pain, and now we are seeing people trying to make the same stuff with a push of a button. I know I'm not the best comic artist but I try my damnedest to do it myself.

I was putting together a list of Canadian awards that Corpse de Ballet (us.macmillan.com/books/978125...) might be eligible for, and I realized we're down to just one or two actual comics awards. Can anyone think of any other than the Doug Wright Awards that are still in operation?

Oh and some good news, my wife is recovering really well. The doc called to tell us all of her blood work looked much better and they lowered her calcium meds. Geez I never realized how much the thyroid does. Hopefully this means no more 2 hour bus rides to get there and 2 hours back... my back!
