ARC Review: I Kissed Her First by Betty Cayouette is a sweet, cozy, summery chef x pop star (think Taylor/Sabrina vibes) sapphic romance; a very quick and fun read for me. The characters navigate grief, family, and career pressures together. I quite enjoyed it! 4⭐ Full review:

one of the most insane aspects of all of this is that "a wide ranging government crackddown after a handful of newspaper cranks said insane things based on misunderstood cherrypicked papers" is considered illegitimate in every field of endeavor except this one

Seeing "trans kids given deadline to segregate themselves" and "trans women banned from yet another part of society" headlines *every single day* while everyone you know and every organization stays breathtakingly silent takes such a damn toll on your heart.

I respect trans people, so it's such a little thing for me to not watch the Harry Potter trailer or show. The proceeds from that property go directly to funding anti-trans work. It's a straight line from HP to destroying lives. I can actually SAVE TIME by not supporting this. It requires NOTHING.

ARC review for Ship Happens by Mason Deaver: I finished this two days after I received it, and I loved it so so much. It's a T4T mm second chance romance on a cruise ship, and I loved the found(ish) family, the focus on not sacrificing your dreams for someone, and the trans/disability rep. 4.5⭐

ARC review: Good Luck, Babe! by Erin Baldwin. This was SUCH a fun read for me! It's a sapphic YA Amazing Race-style reality show romance, and I had a lot of fun even though I never actually watched TAR. Loved all the little funny moments and the references (4.25⭐, coming June 23) Full review ⬇️

I'm already sick of "It's all a distraction from Epstein" replies. This regime is killing innocent people because our leaders are all power-hungry tyrants and war profiteers. When you say it's "just a distraction" you minimize the gravity of what's happening and the lives lost.

Abolish the legal gender marker entirely. No government can be trusted to have a database of which people have changed theirs, no government has any business tracking what your gender is "supposed" to be in the first place.
