For what it's worth, it was likely within the 60 day window of identifying that your data was in the breach. It took a long time for the cybersecurity analysts to sort through all of the data and determine what was breached. This is where ransomware is different than just a standard breach.

Over a year after the cyberattack, I got notice today from Change Healthcare that my data was stolen. It's even dated 2/7/25, which means it took them more than two weeks to even get it to me after they printed it. HHS has specified just 60 days for individual notice: www.hhs.gov/hipaa/for-pr...

I love it when a diabetic patient gets new insurance effective January 1 and they’re sending me letters by January 10 because the patient hasn’t filled a statin yet - because they filled a 90 day supply in November. This is how insurers “improve patient outcomes”, right?
