Numerous health websites are down this morning — hhs.gov, healthit.gov, and the most important one, the National Provider ID API keeps going down as well: npiregistry.cms.hhs.gov This one is used millions of times a day to lookup NPI numbers for providers.

Update: healthit.gov and hhs.gov are both down.
