Here's how the DandaDan commission for the voice actress for Seiko turned out! It was a huge honor to do work for someone bringing the show to life. Yukinobu Tatsu's character designs and dynamic poses are a lot of fun to shadowbox with. You can only get this print from Kari at shows she's at!

Here's the inks for the poster I designed for Seiko's voice actress! We included a few other characters for other voice actors/actresses to sign when they end up at the same show. Dandadan is so dynamic, it was a blast to get to draw characters from the series again.

This was a really cool opportunity - I got to draw a poster for @kariwahlgren , the voice actress for Seiko (and Haruko from FLCL, and so so so many others!) that she'll exclusively have at her table for signing! Dandadan's characters and world are so much fun to draw! Inks and colors to come soon!

Here's how Hebinaifu turned out! The concept for this one was designing an imaginary poster for a 1980s martial arts comedy that never existed. Might make it into a poster for anyone interested! Now excuse me while I quietly recover from ANYC x)

I can’t speak for every comics creator but for me “comics will break your heart” boils down to one of: 1. didn’t get paid hardly enough 2. didn’t get paid 3. somehow LOST money on the deal 4. book never came out 5. book came out wrong somehow 6. book came out and sank like a stone Mostly 1 though.

Every now and then I like to just riff, and I designed a poster for a 1980s Hong Kong style comedy that absolutely doesn't exist. I tried to bake in a bit of that Meals on Wheels energy with a Ranma-y protagonist and the mandatory android final showdown in a rocket hangar. Hebi Naifu!

After getting moved and getting back from the vacation, I needed to shake the dust and get back to being productive, and I figured I'd draw Spider-Gwen, who somehow I haven't really drawn yet! I made the design match a Miles I drew awhile back. Prints up in the shop!

I watched this last night, but I'm still crying at how beautifully this newly animated PV looks like it was animated in the 90s....seriously, I dunno HOW they did it!!! It's fucking gorgeous!!! 🥹

Really really fun print prototyping experiments with the cat mascot @f3rd.bsky.social helped bring to life with his sculpting skills. As a big fan of vinyl toy design, I'm enjoying playing in this world.

For this Whitewall cover I wanted to swing for the fences with some really creepy monster designs. Horror definitely isn't my main strength, but its fun to try to figure out what's unsettling and why - both to use that feeling for story pressure, or to defang it. Three issues up on P A T R E O N!

Lots of fun irons in the fire - awhile back @f3rd.bsky.social helped me bring to life a mascot idea I had. I'm a super novice in 3D sculpting and he took the turnarounds I was cooking on and brought them into reality. I've been 3D printing a bunch of these guys and they look slick IRL.

Robot 2 - Strider! I wanted to make a slimmer robot that had more of a runner's physique! Tucked a fun face shape in his tummy, because Gainax design is my north star.

My bud @f3rd.bsky.social wanted to jam on some robots, so I did a few designs for him to jump off of! I love mech design (a hard fought skill I've been working on over the last decade), so it's fun to let loose!

Death Stranding 2 day! As a fellow lugger of too many things, big fan of Kojima and all of his sing for the fences artistic decisions. Loving the new music introductions too!

Top ten movies to me released 2000 or onward (Battle Royale was a crisp 2000 release, ignore their release year). Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust gets an honorable mention, but I went Spider-Verse in the end.

I designed a few pins for @andrewmaxwell.bsky.social 's Kaiju Rangers campaign I'll be posting over the next few days. It was an absolute blast to invent original kaiju and I am super grateful I got to play in his world.

Kicking both of these up since I haven't posted up as much art lately. Between moving, the vacation, some upcoming Pinstash collabs and putting my time into wrapping up Whitewall 3 I haven't had as much to post, but I'm back in a predictable groove for a bit and motivated to rebuild my discipline.

Spooky one, but here's the pencils for a Whitewall cover - trying to decide if it fits better with issue two or three. Unbeknownst to me, after drawing this I moved into a house with loads of wasp nests. I will destroy them all. If you hate holes or wasps have I got a cover for you.

Women With Weapons 2: Cozy edition. Happy to report that I'm pretty much moved in and back in the groove, drawing again. It was a wild two and half weeks, but I'm pretty much to the fun phase of figuring out what art hits the wall and where as well as figuring out a few spaces here and there.

Did some quick sketches before starting the moving process. I thought it'd be fun to do some fashion studies, but give the models weapons as if they were assassins. It served as a way to get me to practice something I'm less knowledgeable about to build out my visual library!

It's been a wild few weeks since closing, moving, and rapidly unpacking - minus vacations, probably the longest I've gone without drawing. But I'm just about settled and should be back to work soon. I got Whitewall 3's inks done, everything is going up on the p a t r e o n@
